Vision Statement
We envision a new standard in nursing education and practice where clinical judgment—guided by the NGN Clinical Judgment Measurement Model—is seamlessly integrated into every decision, improving outcomes and shaping the future of patient care. We will support that vision to transform nursing practice by becoming the leading provider of clinical decision-support tools that strengthen clinical judgment, elevate patient safety, and standardize excellence in care across all nursing specialties.
Mission Statement
Our mission is to empower nurses and nursing students to deliver safe, high-quality, and evidence-based care by providing innovative, diagnosis-specific clinical tools that strengthen critical thinking, enhance clinical judgment, and promote confidence at the bedside. Through structured guidance, early-warning prompts, and holistic, patient-centered frameworks, we aim to improve nursing practice, reduce errors, lower Failure to Rescue occurrences, and support better outcomes for patients across all specialty areas. Our comprehensive clinical sheets spanning Medical-Surgical, Pediatric, Psychiatric Mental Health, and Maternity Nursing, equip healthcare professionals with practical guidance grounded in the Next Generation NCLEX (NGN) Clinical Judgment Measurement Model (CJMM). By systematically guiding users to recognize and analyze cues, prioritize hypotheses, generate solutions, take action, and evaluate results, we strive to strengthen clinical judgment and elevate the standard of nursing practice.
Nursing Innovations Clinical Sheets
With over 30 years of experience as a Nurse Educator, I have dedicated my career to preparing nursing students for the realities of clinical practice. Early in my career, I developed a wide range of assignment tools—initially blank templates that required students to independently gather and organize patient information, often without immediate access to textbooks or clinical resources.
At one point, I created an extensive eight-page assignment for a single patient and diagnosis. While thorough, it became clear that this approach was not practical in today’s fast-paced healthcare environment. That insight led to a pivotal innovation: a streamlined, high-impact solution—one diagnosis, presented on a single, double-sided sheet. These new and thoughtfully designed sheets instill the most critical clinical information into an accessible format, complete with a preliminary Nursing Care Plan and a “Failure to Rescue” reference.
Implemented across all levels of nursing education—from freshman through senior students in both associate and baccalaureate programs—these tools have received overwhelmingly positive feedback. Students report increased confidence, improved communication with patients and interdisciplinary teams, and a stronger ability to think critically under pressure. Many also note measurable improvements in the quality of care they deliver and in patient outcomes.
Now available nationwide,Nursing Innovations Sheets represent a proven, forward-thinking solution—bridging education and practice, and empowering the next generation of nurses with clarity, confidence, and clinically grounded decision-making.
